Introduction
Computer Networks can be divided into various types depending upon their size and usability. The size of a network can be assessed by its geographical distribution. It can be as small as a room with a few devices/computers or as widespread as across the world, with a million of interconnected devices. Some of the most important types of computer networks are :

Personal Area Network(PAN), is a local network designed to transmit data between personal computing devices like PCs, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and telephones. A personal area network handles the interconnection of IT devices at the surrounding of a single user. Generally, PAN contains appliances such as- cordless mic and keyboards, cordless phone, Bluetooth etc. Gaming devices, like a game console system, may also be set up on a PAN.
